NY Yankees go to Wheelchair Softball World Series in Kansas Print E-mail

The NY Yankees Wheelchair Softball Team went to Kansas City, KS to participate in the 42nd Annual World Series of Wheelchair Softball from August 9 to August 11, 2018.  The Team went on to take 5th place in Division 2 with an overall 19 teams competing for the National Championship.  The Nebraska Barons (NE) took the National Championship for Division 1, RIC Cubs won for Division 2.  Thanks to our host the Kansas City Diamonds and Midwest Adaptive Sports (https://www.midwestadaptivesports.org/) and the National Wheelchair Softball Association (wheelchairsoftball.org).


 Dave Deas was awarded Best Class I in Division 2 and Errol Samuels won Rockie of the Year in Division 2.
