North Jersey Navigators Update: I would like to inform you that the Navigators’ performance at the 2017 Junior Nationals Championships in Wisconsin was outstanding!!.  We brought 18 athletes to the Junior Nationals Championships and the team netted a record of 179 medals (122 Gold, 39 Silver, and 18 Bronze).  We set several new national records and once again we placed first in the Large Team category.  This is the result of all our hard work; dedication and commitment to the North Jersey Navigators Paralympic Sport Program.

In addition, two of our junior elite athletes, Miguel Jimenez-Vergara and Norris Foster, were selected as members of the Junior USA Paralympic Team that participated last week at the 2017 IPC Athletics Junior World Championships in Switzerland.  Miguel won 3 medals (2 Gold and 1 Silver) and Norris had an outstanding performance setting a new Americas Paralympic Record in the 100 meters for the T34 class.   Also one of our elite athletes and 2016 Paralympic Gold medalist, Gianfranco Iannotta, was selected as a member of the USA Paralympic Team that participated at the IPC Athletics World Championships in London last July.  Gianfranco won a Bronze medal in the 100 meters for the T52 class and he is currently ranked #2 in the world in the 100 meters.  The Navigators coaching staff is extremely pleased with the way our team members continue to improve and excel in Paralympic sports and we are very proud of our accomplishments competing at National and International levels.
